Highlander Labs is a very small indie studio, like many out there. While we can't pay a salary, we have a small budget for things like assets, courses, and very specific contract work when needed.

We currently have:

A programmer who is learning to work within Unity.​

A game designer covering level design, sound design, and VFX.

We're looking for the following roles at the moment. While revenue share is preferred, we may consider contract work for the right price:

A 3D animator who is comfortable working with a quadrupedal skeleton.

A 3D artist comfortable with stylized characters and environments, with the ability to texture them being a huge plus.

A Texture and Materials artist with a focus on stylized art a plus.

A concept artist who is comfortable designing stylized characters, environments, and props.

In the future we'll be looking for the following roles:

A sound designer with experience in fantasy sounds

A composer for our game's soundtrack

While we can't offer a salary, we can offer the following:

An extensive asset catalogue across the Unity and Unreal asset stores, amongst others. These assets have been collected over the years, and total around €5000 (€27,000+ if we had paid full price!)

A wide range of educational material, such as books and online courses from Udemy, GameDev.tv, Flipped Normals, Packt and more.

We are happy to purchase any assets or courses that would benefit you and help you improve your skills!
